Anyone can love a rose, but it takes a lot to love a leaf. It’s ordinary to love the beautiful, but it’s beautiful to love the ordinary.

“Personally I think the best performance I ever gave was in The Asphalt Jungle. Others think Bus Stop, while others say Some Like It Hot. Others The Seven Year Itch. The worst part I had to play was Let’s Make Love - I didn’t even have a part.”

- said to George Barris in Marilyn Her Life In Her Own Words.

Anonymous Marilyn's face shape changed SO much from being 18-19 to her early 20's. I know she had her nose slimmed but I just don't understand how her face changed so much?! Especially the lower 1/2 of her face (slimmer jaw line) and that she didn't get bags under her eyes when she smiled anymore...??? Love your blog btw x

Personally I really don’t notice that much of a difference, remember in her youth Marilyn did not have her iconic trademark make up that her personal friend and make up artists Allan Whitey Snyder applied. It is said that in March 1948 Columbia Studios arranged for Marilyn, to have her hairline raised by electrolysis. Fred Karger sent Marilyn to Dr. Walter Taylor, a specialist in cosmetic dentistry, before the shooting of Ladies Of The Chorus in 1948. The orthodontist corrected Marilyn’s slightly protruding front teeth by giving her a corrective brace to wear at night. In 1950 (1949 in some accounts) Johnny Hyde arranged for Marilyn to have her nose and chin touched up. On this occasion Beverley Hills plastic surgeon Michael Gurdin excised a slight bump of cartilage from the tip of her nose and inserted a cresent-shaped silicone prosthesis into her lower jaw to “pad out” and soften the line of her chin. I do not take any credit in these posts I got them of mostlymarilynmonroe but they are incredible and personally to me I see many similarities and rarely any differences, see what you think and I hope this helps. As for any other surgery then no Marilyn did not have any, she was a perfectionist with her skin routine so I guess that could be another reason why! Thank you x
